Collector FAQ & Purchase Information

Purchasing original artwork is a personal decision, and I want the process to feel clear and straightforward from the beginning.

This page answers some of the most common questions about availability, payment, shipping, delivery, and purchasing original work from Linda Lieffers.

Are the artworks on the website original?

Yes. Unless otherwise stated, artworks offered for sale

on lindalieffers.com are original works by Linda Lieffers.

Each original is unique and available only once.

How do I know if a painting is still available?

Artwork marked as available may be purchased directly

through the website.

Because each piece is unique, availability can change quickly.

An artwork is considered sold once payment has been

successfully completed and the order has been confirmed.

Previously sold works may remain visible on the website

for reference.

Are prices listed in U.S. dollars?

Yes. Unless otherwise stated, artwork prices are shown in USD.

Shipping, crating, insurance, customs duties, import taxes, or

other delivery-related charges may be additional depending

on the artwork and destination.

Can I purchase directly through the website?

Yes. Available works may be purchased securely through the

website using the payment methods offered at checkout.

For particularly large works, international destinations, or

specialized shipping situations, I may contact you after

purchase to confirm delivery arrangements.

Can I contact you before purchasing?

Absolutely.

If you would like additional photographs, close-up details,

installation views, framing information, or clarification about

a particular artwork before purchasing, please get in touch.

For larger acquisitions, I am also happy to discuss placement,

scale, and shipping considerations before the purchase is

completed.

How is shipping calculated?

Shipping depends on the size of the artwork, destination,

packing requirements, insurance, and whether specialized

freight or custom crating is required.

Smaller works may be shipped using conventional carriers,

while larger paintings may require professional packing,

custom crating, freight, or specialized fine-art transportation.

Shipping costs for certain artwork sizes are currently being

finalized with my shipping provider. Where a shipping rate is

shown at checkout, it will apply to the artwork and destination

selected.

For oversized or unusual shipments, additional confirmation

may be required before dispatch.

Are paintings framed?

No. The artworks are sold unframed and gallery wrapped.

The canvas is stretched over a deep wooden support so the

work is ready to hang without an additional decorative frame.

The depth of the stretcher varies by artwork, but is typically

around 2 to 2.25 inches.

The exact dimensions and depth of each piece will be listed

in the individual artwork description whenever applicable.

How are large paintings shipped?

Large original paintings are shipped stretched and gallery

wrapped unless otherwise stated.

Because many works are substantial in scale and are stretched

on deep wooden supports, shipping may require reinforced

protection, custom crating, freight service, or specialized fine-art

transportation.

The packing and shipping method will depend on the dimensions,

destination, and handling requirements of the individual artwork.

Is shipping insured?

Where appropriate, artwork shipments may be insured according

to the carrier and shipping arrangement being used.

Details can vary by artwork, destination, and carrier.

How long will delivery take?

Delivery times vary depending on the artwork, destination,

packing requirements, and carrier.

Large or oversized works may require additional preparation time

for professional packing or crating.

Once shipping arrangements are confirmed, you will be provided

with the available delivery information.

What about customs or import charges?

International collectors may be responsible for customs duties,

import taxes, VAT, brokerage fees, or other charges imposed

by their country.

These charges are generally separate from the artwork price

and shipping cost unless specifically stated otherwise.

What happens if the artwork is damaged during shipping?

Please contact me as soon as possible.

Take photographs of the artwork and all exterior and interior

packaging, and retain all shipping materials.

Although original artwork purchases are final sale, I am open to

discussing appropriate options if damage occurs during transit.

Depending on the circumstances, this may involve the carrier,

shipping insurer, professional restoration, or another agreed solution.

Do you accept returns?

Original artwork purchases are final sale.

Returns or exchanges are not accepted for change of mind,

size preference, color perception, or other non-damage-related

reasons, except where required by law.

I strongly encourage collectors to review the artwork dimensions,

images, and description carefully before purchasing and to

contact me with any questions beforehand.

Can I cancel an order?

If you need to request a cancellation, please contact me immediately.

If the artwork has not yet entered the packing, crating, or shipping

process, I will review the request.

Once custom packing, crating, freight booking, or shipment preparation

has begun, cancellation may no longer be possible or certain costs

may already have been incurred.

Will the artwork look exactly like it does on my screen?

I make every effort to photograph and present artwork accurately.

However, color can vary slightly between screens because of

differences in monitors, phones, brightness settings, browser settings,

and display calibration.

Original paintings may also reveal subtle surface qualities, glazing,

texture, depth, and color shifts that are difficult to fully reproduce digitally.

Can designers or galleries contact you about available work?

Yes.

Interior designers, galleries, art consultants, architects, and private

collectors are welcome to inquire about available work, commissions,

exhibitions, and larger acquisitions.

Do you accept commissions?

Yes.

If you are interested in commissioning a work, please contact me

with the approximate size, location, and type of work you are considering.

Do you offer certificates of authenticity?

Yes.

Original artworks are accompanied by documentation confirming

the title, dimensions, medium, and authenticity of the work.

Can I see more images before purchasing?

Yes.

Additional details, close-ups, side views, installation mockups,

or scale references may be available upon request.
